Magic Color version 1.0.1 is now live!
Please check your current version in the panel menu and if you're still on 1.0.0 update as soon as possible using the procedure described in point 2 of this article.
PLEASE NOTE
This is a high-priority fix and includes some minor but in particulare one medium bug fixes present in version 1.0.0.
The medium bug shouldn't disrupt the workflow but it could in some situations create an error in the presets format that prevents some or all presets in the current list from working correctly.
If you clicked to create a new preset at a time when there was no Magic Colour active in the file, or after deleting the relevant folder, and you notice that preset operations (delete, edit, live preview) do not take place correctly, you may need to re-initialise the preset list using a correctly formatted file.
For this purpose you can use the Starter Preset Pack or the MagicColor_Reset.pst file you can find attached down here or included in the Presets folder inside the .zip download file for version 1.0.1
If you find yourself in a situation where there are some colours you want to save in a list that is not working properly, please export the file using the Export Presets button and send the .pst file to support@creativemagic.store.
We will try to fix it for you!
Magic Color is compatible with Adobe Photoshop starting from version CC 2022 (23.3) and above.
Here's a list of the known issues for each version:
All versions
- Missing confirmation before deleting a preset.
Adobe Photoshop CC 2024 (25.x)
- No reported issues.
Adobe Photoshop CC 2023 (24.x)
- Interface flashing during operation on some devices.
(no impact on performance / features).
Adobe Photoshop CC 2022 (23.x)
- Interface flashing during operation on some devices.
(no impact on performance / features) - Live Intensity for Color & Harmony tabs is not working.
(the Intensity value is correctly applied if the slider is moved before pressing the create button) - Live Shift for Harmony tab is not working.
(the Shift value is correctly applied if the slider is moved before pressing the create button) - Presets created on this version are sometimes saved with legacy values for adjustments so they don't display / load / export correctly.
(no problem importing or using presets created with Magic Color on other versions of Photoshop)
