Unfortunately when we started developing Magic Touch the UXP framework on Photoshop, although very powerful, was still in its early stages and it did not directly support some of our most advanced features.
That is why our dev team decided to release the full featured CEP version first while waiting for either Adobe to release a stable update with a new iteration of photoshop (which luckily happened, more or less, with PS 23.0), and at the same time looking for some workarounds that could speed up the process.
So at the moment we are, indeed, actively working on a UXP version of Magic Touch that will be able to run with the native version of Photoshop on the Apple Silicon chips.
We are making the transition in gradual steps, prioritising those sections that we know from your feedback are the most used (such as Skins and Looks) and then going on to introduce everything else with the various updates.
We do not have a precise ETA for the official release yet, but its first iteration is currently in the testing phase preceding the closed Beta for which we are already selecting a suitable sample of users.
